Bolang baling: the recipe for soft Indonesian pancakes with sesame seeds

How to make Indonesian bolang baling

Put the powdered milk, flour, sugar, dry brewer’s yeast in a bowl 1 and mix. Add the yolk 2 and pour the sparkling water a little at a time 3.

Stir with the spatula 4 and then knead with your hands 5. Form a compact dough, add the margarine and continue kneading 6. Cover the bowl with a tea towel and let it rise for 1 hour.

Roll out the dough with a rolling pin 7 and cut it into small rectangles with the help of a pastry cutter 8. Sprinkle the sesame seeds on the rectangles 9.

Fry them in hot oil 10 until golden brown 11. The bolang balings are ready to be served 12.
