The bread omelette it is a simple and tasty dish that will allow you to recycle stale bread: in a short time you will prepare an economical and substantial dish, ideal for lunch or dinner for the whole family. You can serve bread omelette like second dishcome single dish or how antipasto, if cut into cubes. In our recipe we cooked the bread omelette in the oven making the base with baguette slices which will then be sprinkled with the mix of eggs, yogurt, ham, tomato and onion. At the end of preparation you will get a tasty and irresistible omelette.

You can replace the ham and tomato with the ingredients you prefer or omit them, for a lighter preparation. You can also enrich the omelette by adding herbsif you prefer.

If you want to make the classic bread omelette in the pan proceed like this: remove the crust from the bread and put it in a bowl with milk. Beat the eggs with the herbs and add the squeezed bread, mix and pour the mixture into the pan with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. Cook on both sides until golden brown and serve hot or lukewarm.

How to prepare the bread omelette
