Cannoli chiacchiere: the original recipe to impress everyone at Carnival

THE cannoli cat they are the perfect dessert to impress everyone a Carnival: an original way to present the classic chiacchiere, make a dough with dough crispy wafer – stuffed with ricotta – to which to give the shape of Sicilian cannoli. To make them, we prepared the dough with flour, egg, seed oil, sugar, white wine and lemon zest. The dough will then be divided into pieces, rolled out in an oval shape and shaping the shape of the cannoli with the specific mould. The cannoli chatter will then be fries until golden brown, filled with ricotta cream and decorated with pistachio kernelsready to taste.

How to prepare cannoli chiacchiere

In a bowl, mix the flour with the egg, the seed oil, the white wine, the sugar, the vanillin, the zest of 1 lemon 1.

Knead with your hands to obtain a smooth and compact dough. Wrap it in aluminum foil 2 and let stand 30 minutes.

Divide the dough into 15 pieces. Roll each piece into an oval shape – you get a very thin dough 3.

Place a cannoli mold on top of the oval and fold the sides towards the center. Moisten with a little water to join the two edges of the dough 4.

Fry the cannoli in hot oil until golden brown 5.

Transfer the ricotta to the piping bag and fill the cannoli. Decorate by sprinkling the crushed pistachios on the cream 6.

Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving 7.

Advice

You can also prepare the filling by mixing them ricotta, sugar e chocolate chipsjust like the filling of classic cannoli.

storage

Once stuffed, it is advisable to consume the cannoli chiacchiere immediately after its preparation. Instead, you can store empty pods for 1-2 days in a tin can or airtight container and refill just before serving.
