Once ready, for a complete and well-balanced meal, you can serve the chicken with a portion of basmati rice, or you can accompany it with sautéed vegetables. For best results, we suggest toasting the Sesame seeds for no more than 3-4 minutes, mixing them often with a wooden ladle: a prolonged cooking would make them bitter, inevitably compromising the success of the recipe.

You can make teriyaki sauce at home in the classic way, with the addition of traditional ingredients such as mirin e Thingis or create a simple and quick variant like the one proposed here. For a creamier sauce you can add a pinch of starch or flour while cooking or, if you prefer a distinctly sweet and sour taste, you can add a little orange juice.

We cooked the chicken in a non-stick pan but, alternatively, you can also put it in the oven: just drain the meat from the marinating liquid, bake it at 180 ° C for about 15 minutes and then brush it with the teriyaki sauce, previously thickened on the fire.

How to make chicken in teriyaki sauce
