How to prepare chocolate mimosa cake

First, prepare the sponge cake. Beat the eggs with the sugar and vanilla extract with a mixer for about 15 minutes.

Gradually add the flour and cocoa powder, then add the baking powder and mix well.

Pour the mixture into the circular mold (22 cm) and bake at 180°C for 40 minutes. Let cool.

Then move on to making the syrup. Pour the sugar, orange juice and water into the saucepan. Put on the fire and stir for 2 minutes.

Cut the sponge cake into 3 layers and cut the top into cubes.

Brush the syrup on the bottom layer.

Finally, prepare the cream. Whip the cream with the hazelnut cream.

Assemble the cake in two layers with the sponge cake and the cream. Place the cubes on top and leave in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

Sprinkle icing sugar over the cake.

Keep the mimosa cake in the refrigerator and store it indoors 2-3 days from the preparation, especially if you have decided to prepare the hazelnut cream at home.
