Chocolate sandwich cake: the recipe for a delicious cream-filled dessert

The chocolate sandwich cake is a simple and super indulgent dessert filled with a mixture of whipped cream and condensed milkideal for the to taste or for a dessert buffet. The base will be made with egg yolks mixed with milk and oil to which will be added flour, cocoa powder and egg whites whipped with sugar, without baking powder. The cake will then be baked in one go square mold for about 40 minutes, before being filled with whipped cream and cut into a triangle reminiscent of classic sandwiches. How to make chocolate sandwich cake

Cool the bowl by placing it in the refrigerator. Use it to beat egg whites until stiff. Add the sugar little by little 1.

Beat egg yolks with seed oil and milk. Add cocoa powder 2 and sifted flour.

Mix well until you get a homogeneous mixture 3.

Add the whipped egg whites to the mixture and mix to obtain a smooth and creamy batter 4.

Pour the batter into the 22 × 22 cm square mold (5) lined with parchment paper and bake at 150°C for 40 minutes. Meanwhile, whip the cream with the condensed milk.

Cool the sponge cake and cut it into 2 parts. Divide the whipped cream between the two slices of sponge cake 6.

Let the cake rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes seven.

Divide the cake into triangles and serve 8.


You can keep the chocolate sandwich cake in the fridge for 2 days covered with cling film.
