With its delicious taste of coconut and lime, the Christmas Margaritas bring a little tropical touch to yours Christmas vacation: it is an irresistible cocktail that has a creamy texture and can be served with or without ice. It’s as easy to make as a regular margarita, so even novice bartenders will be able to serve a Christmas Margaritas no problem. This delicious cocktail is for two people, but it is very easy to prepare if you want to serve it to a larger group.

Use the tequila silver o bianca to prepare this variation of margarita. For a less strong cocktail, omit the coconut rum. If you don’t have agave nectar, agave syrup, the honeyed or what very fine sugar they will be fine. If you don’t have Cointreau, other types of triple sec or a orange liqueur like Grand Marnier can be good substitutes. Here’s how to prepare the Christmas Margaritas in a few moves.

How to do the Christmas Margaritas

Place the coconut flakes and salt in a bowl and mix. Pour all cocktail ingredients into a large cocktail shaker and shake well.

Take the glasses and run a wedge of lime around the rim to wet them. Dip the glasses in the coconut-salt mixture, making sure to press firmly, but not too much, so that the mixture sticks.

Fill the glasses with ice, then pour the cocktail into each glass. Add a wedge of lime as a garnish and enjoy your Christmas margarita.
