Cream biscuits: the recipe for crumbly donuts for breakfast and snack

I Cream cookies are simple shortbread donuts with a delicate taste, perfect for soak in milk a breakfast or to taste to taste with a Cup of tea Oh you hot chocolate. To make them we prepared a dough similar to that of shortcrust pastry for cookies, with flour, butter, egg, icing sugar, sour creampotato starch vanilla extract. After resting in the fridge, the dough will be spread out before making donuts which will be cooked in the oven by 15 minutes. At the end of the preparation you will obtain crumbly and delicious biscuits ideal for the whole family. Here are the steps to prepare them.

How to make cream cookies

Put the butter with the icing sugar in a bowl 1 and mix with an electric whisk.

Add the egg 2 and vanilla extract.

Sift the flour, baking powder and potato starch 3.

Pour the fresh cream 4 and mix with a spatula until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.

Work the dough with your hands to obtain a smooth and compact dough 5. Wrap it in plastic wrap and leave it in the fridge for 30 minutes.

Roll out the shortcrust pastry with a rolling pin until it reaches a thickness of 7-8 mm 6.

Make several 5cm discs with a 1cm hole in the center seven.

Transfer the biscuits to the baking sheet and bake them at 180°C for 15 minutes 8.

Tips

The liquid cream for desserts can be replaced by cooking cream: the batter could be thicker.

You can customize the cream biscuit recipe by adding the chocolate chips and decorate them with chopped hazelnutsof almonds Oh you pistachiosbefore baking them in the oven.

You can also make cream cookies without butterreplacing it with seed oil.

storage

You can store cream biscuits for 1 week inside a tightly closed tin can or food bag.
