L’salad of grapes it’s a contour fresh and tasty prepared with baby spinach, lettuce, black and white grapes, gorgonzola, raw ham and walnuts. With a pleasant bittersweet contrast, in which the sweetness of the September fruit meets the flavor of the salami and blue cheese, it is perfect for summer days and early autumn days. A colorful and appetizing dish, excellent to accompany any meat or cheese-based main course, or to offer to guests as antipasto. Completed with a few slices of toast, it can also be enjoyed as single dish light, but satiating.

Grape salad is a balanced and original preparation that can also be prepared with some hour early, avoiding adding the oil, vinegar and salt based dressing. For an optimal result, it is important that the ingredients are very fresh and of best quality. You can replace the baby spinach and lettuce with raw curly endive, rocket or songino, or a mix of your favorite salads. Instead of raw ham, you can add speck or bresaola, and choose a semi-cured pecorino or feta instead of gorgonzola. For a stronger and more aromatic flavor, you can use thebalsamic vinegar instead of that of apples.

How to make grape salad

Wash and dry the grapes well. Cut them in half and keep them aside 1.

Gently wash and dry the baby spinach and lettuce as well 2.

Cut the gorgonzola into cubes 3.

Prepare the dressing by mixing the olive oil with the salt in a small bowl 4.

Also add the vinegar, mix and keep aside 5.

Compose the grape salad by choosing a large, low pan, then add the vegetables to the base 6.

storage

Unseasoned grape salad can be kept in the fridge for one day in an airtight container. Otherwise, it must be consumed immediately and it is not possible to freeze it.
