He herb butter it’s a Flavored butter easy to prepare and excellent to use in different ways: to spread on bruschetta Or on toastfor a antipasti or a aperitif, or to flavor dishes based on meat, fish or vegetables. In our recipe we started by preparing homemade butter with fresh cream, but you can also use supermarket butter if you don’t have time. The butter will be flavored with mix of aromatic herbs e edible flowersbefore being left in the fridge for 2 hours. Once ready you can serve it on crackers, as in our preparation, or use it to flavor your recipes. Here are the steps to get there.

How to make herb butter

Mix the cream for a long time with an electric whisk until you obtain the butter 1.

Form a ball with the butter and put it in cold water to rinse it 2.

Finely chop the herbs and edible flowers and mix them with the butter. Mix well 3.

Transfer it to the baking paper and form a rectangle 4.

Decorate the buttercream with other edible flowers 5. Leave in the refrigerator for 2 hours.

Herb Butter is ready to spread on crackers or use however you like 6.


You can omit the edible flowers if you don’t prefer them or don’t have any on hand. Compared to aromatic herbs, you can use parsley, basil, chives, sage, thyme, bay leaf, rosemary, oregano, choosing the mixture of herbs that you prefer or that you have.


You can keep the herb butter in the fridge for A daywrapped in cling film or in an airtight container.
