I panettone truffles these are delicious no-bake candies, ideal for serving as dessert refined and original on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, or as a delicious anti-waste idea at the end of the holidays. They are small balls, simply prepared by mixing the crumbled panettone with the mascarpone and sugar, which reveal a heart of soft and delicious hazelnut spreadable cream.

Once ready, you can dip the treats in coconut flakes and enjoy them a to tasteaccompanied by a hot infusion and other delicacies of the time, or you can put them in a special bag and give them to guests as a welcome gift.

If you prefer, you can replace the panettone with pandoro, or you can make the tartufini in a savory version by mixing the cream cheese with the chopped cooked ham, and covering the pieces obtained with sesame seeds or spices to taste: you will thus obtain an appetizing finger food to be brought to the table at the start of lunch or to be placed on the New Year’s Eve dinner aperitif buffet.

How to prepare panettone truffles

Collect the mascarpone in a bowl and add the sugar 1.

Work everything with the tines of a fork until you get a creamy mixture. 3.

Next, crumble the panettone in a bowl 4.

Mix the crumbled panettone with the mascarpone cream 5.

Mix the ingredients well 6.

Take a portion of the dough, crush it in the palm of your hand and, using a pocket bag, fill the center with a little hazelnut spread 7. Then cover with a little dough and form several balls the size of a walnut.

Once ready 8transfer the truffles to the refrigerator and let them cool for about 1 hour.

Then pass them in the grated coconut 9.

Arrange the truffles in paper cups, arrange them on a serving plate ten and serve.

Tips

Depending on the needs of the guests, you can wrap the sweets with a panettone without candied fruit, without gluten, or vegan…Or, for an even more indulgent version, you can opt for a coffee or chocolate chip version.

We used mascarpone, but if you prefer, you can substitute it with ricottarobiola or another Philadelphia-type cream cheese spread.

If you don’t like the taste of coconut, you can cover the candies with chopped dried fruit, Cocoa powder without sugarmelted white chocolate and sprinkles of colored sugar, or you can garnish them with orange marmalade or pistachio cream.

If the preparation is intended for the little ones in the house, you can flavor the truffles with a drop of fruit juice or you can just omit the liquor.

Panettone truffles can be stored in the refrigerator, in an airtight container, for 2 days massive.
