Potato pie in a pan: the delicious and stringy rustic recipe

Il potato pie in a pan it is a soft and delicious rustic preparation ideal as antipasto but also how second dish or how single dish for a quick dinner. To make our potato pie, we cut the potatoes into slices, boiled them and mixed them with eggs, garlic powder, parsley, paprika, salt and pepper. The mixture will then be cooked in the pan with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil for about 10 minutes, before adding the cheese on the surface and continue cooking for another 10 minutes.

You can omit the cheese on the surface, or add it to the mixture with del prosciutto or with the smoked salmonbased on your preferences.

How to prepare the potato pie in a pan

Peel and cut the potatoes into strips 1. Put them in a bowl with cold water 2drain and boil in water with bay leaf and salt for 5 minutes 3.

Drain the potatoes and place them in a bowl with the eggs, garlic, parsley, paprika, pepper and salt. 4. Stir until you get a homogeneous mixture 5. Heat a little oil in the pan and transfer the potato mixture into it 6. Cover with the lid and cook for 10 minutes.

Turn the pie with the help of a flat plate 7 and add the grated cheese 8. Cook for another 10 minutes with the lid on. The pan-fried potato pie is ready to serve 9.


You can keep the potato patty in the pan in the fridge for 1 dayinside an airtight container.
