Puff pastry pizza: the delicious and tantalizing recipe ready in no time

The puff pastry pizza it’s a quick and easy recipeideal to prepare for a delicious dinner, when you have little time available to make the pizza dough and you need a dough without leavening. In a few steps you can enjoy a “fake pizza” really delicious, stuffed with pomodoro, cheese or mozzarella, Origan, extra virgin olive oil and cooked in the pan for about 20 minutes. Once ready you can enjoy it for dinner or serve it in wedges like antipasto or for one aperitif o one buffet.

In our recipe we used the round puff pastry but you can use that too rectangular, so as to simulate the classic pizza in a pan. You can also decide to make the puff pastry at home, if you prefer.

You can fill the puff pastry pizza with ingredients you prefer: it is important, however, not to make the pastry base too heavy. If you decide to use the mozzarellaremember it will have to be well dry.

If you want to bake puff pastry pizza in the ovenplace the pizza on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and cook a 180 °C for 10 minutes.

How to prepare puff pastry pizza

Roll out the round puff pastry on the parchment paper. Fold the edges inward to make the frame 1.

Turn the pastry over into the pan without removing the parchment paper 2. Cover with the lid and cook the base for 10 minutes.

Season the tomato puree with salt, pepper and oregano 3.

Flip the puff pastry and distribute the tomato sauce 4.

Add the diced cheese 5.

Cook for another 10 minutes with the lid on 6.

Season the pizza with a drizzle of oil and oregano before serving 7.


You can store the puff pastry pizza in the refrigerator for 1 dayalthough it is advisable to consume it immediately after preparation, to enjoy the fragrant pastry.
