Red wine cake: the recipe for a moist and creamy wine cake
ingredients
baking powder
There red wine cake it’s a sweet soft and fragrant chocolate, made with a cocoa mass flavored with red wine. Quick and easy, just melt the butter with the sugar, cocoa and wine in a saucepan, then, off the heat, stir in the eggs, chopped dark chocolate, sifted flour and baking powder.
Once baked and left to cool, the cake is covered with a icing without creamwhich is nothing more than part of the mixture of butter, sugar, cocoa and red wine set aside, for a delicious and fragrant end result with a pleasantly chewy consistency.
Perfect for the winter period, the red wine cake is eaten at snack, accompanied by a cup of hot tea, or served at the end of a meal for a special dinner. It can be consumed safely even by the youngest of the house: the taste of wine, in fact, is not felt and the alcohol will have completely evaporated thanks to cooking.
For best results, we recommend using a Red wine of excellent quality, preferably a nero d’Avola. If you wish, you can top it with chocolate icing and replace the butter with 150 g of seed oil and the red wine with a white one.
