The flavor of smoked salmon blends perfectly with the delicacy of fresh cheese, for a combination that is always a winner and highly appreciated.

He Rye bread grilled and crunchy it creates an exceptional set of textures, while the lemon zest and fennel give a fresh and fragrant touch to the dish. For an optimal result, it is important that the ingredients, few and simple, are of best quality: choose a good wholemeal rye bread, preferably organic, and a wild smoked salmon from Scotland, with tasty, firm and compact meat.

You can also experiment with new combinations by adding salmon mousse, other aromatic herbs or a few grilled zucchini.

How to make salmon croutons

Transfer cream cheese to a bowl and whisk until creamy 1.

Flavor with chopped fennel and grated lemon zest 2. Mix well and transfer to the refrigerator until use.

If you don’t like rye bread, you can use some pansquare, a few slices of homemade bread or a baguette. If you wish, you can enrich the croutons with seeds, sprouts or cubes of avocado.
