Once cleaned, the sea bream is stuffed with herbs, garlic and lemon slices, covered with a mixture based on whipped egg white and coarse salt, then baked in the oven for 40 minutes.

When cooked, it will only be filleted, seasoned with raw oil and lemon, and finally savored in all its goodness. The result is, in fact, a flesh very juicytender and tasty, which will have kept its precious products almost intact nutrients. How to prepare sea bream in salt

To prepare the sea bream in salt, you need to start by carefully cleaning the fish, gutting it 1.

Fill the belly of the fish with the chopped herbs of your choice 2.

You can also prepare sea bream in a salt crust without egg whites: stuff the fish with herbs, garlic and lemon slices, as in our recipe. If you do not want to turn on the oven, you can cook the sea bream in the microwave by putting it on for 6 minutes at maximum power; alternatively, you can also cook it in a pan: fillet the fish, leaving the skin, however. Cover the bottom of a non-stick pan with coarse salt and herbs, arrange the sea bream fillets, placing them on the skin side, cover with a lid and cook over medium heat for about 15 minutes.


Sea bream with salt and beer

In this preparation you will have to replace the whipped egg whites with beer. If you prefer, you can use non-alcoholic beer. When you have obtained a creamy mixture, proceed according to the recipe.

Sea bream with salt and ginger

Clean the fish according to our directions. Make an emulsion with grated ginger, oil, lemon and chopped parsley. Brush the sea bream with this emulsion, both outside and inside, and then stuff the belly with garlic and herbs. Proceed with the preparation and cooking according to the recipe.

Another way to prepare fish, without adding fat and leaving its taste unchanged. It can be cooked alone, but also with the potatoes and vegetables you like best, obtaining a main course and side dish with just one cooking.

Bake at 180 ° C for about 40 minutes, turning the fish halfway through cooking. After about 15 minutes, you can add the potatoes, peeled, diced and seasoned with rosemary, salt and oil.

Grilled sea bream

Stuff the fish belly according to the recipe and then season with an emulsion based on oil, garlic, parsley, salt and pepper. Place the sea bream on the coals, when they are no longer red, but covered with a white patina, and cook it for about 15 minutes over medium heat. To check the cooking of the fish, lift the skin slightly and check the color of the meat: if they are white, the fish is ready.


Once filleted, the sea bream in salt can be kept for one day in the refrigerator, in a suitable airtight container. Freezing is not recommended.
