Souvlaki and tzatziki sauce: the recipe for Greek street food

I souvlaki and the tzatziki there are two traditional dishes of Greek cuisine: the first are gods meat kabobswhile the second is a sauce made with Greek yogurt, garlic and cucumber pulp.

How to prepare souvlaki and tatziki salsa

To make souvlaki, cut the pork into cubes and prick them on the skewers. Grill the meat skewers in a skillet, turning them from time to time to ensure even cooking. To prepare the tzatziki sauce, clean the garlic instead, remove the pit and crush it, then add a pinch of salt. Separately, grate the cucumber and pass it through a colander to remove excess water. Mix cucumber pulp with crushed garlic and Greek yogurt. Serve the souvlaki with the tzatziki sauce and accompany it with fries.


The souvlaki are preserved in the refrigerator by One day maximum, closed in an airtight container or covered with cling film.

The tzatziki sauce, on the other hand, is preserved in the refrigerator by 2-3 daysclosed with cling film and seasoned with a drizzle of oil on the surface.
