Stuffed peppers in a crust: the recipe for a crispy and tasty starter

How to make crusted stuffed peppers

To prepare the stuffed peppers in a crust, wash and clean the peppers: remove the cap and empty them of the internal pips 1.

Also dice the cheese and part of the caps of the peppers 3. Stuff the peppers with the filling and set aside.

Meanwhile, take the ready-made pizza dough, roll it out and, using a cookie cutter, make circles slightly larger than the base of the stuffed pepper. 4.

Preheat the oven to 190°C in static mode. Place the peppers on the circles of dough and knead them to make them adhere well to the bottom. Place them on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper and bake them in the oven at 190°C for about 20 minutes. Crusted stuffed peppers are ready to serve 5.

Tips

For the preparation of this recipe, use i round peppers, more suitable for being stuffed and wrapped in dough. However, if you have long peppers, you can try making stuffed crescent peppers.

You can add the breadcrumbs or parmesan before cooking: this trick will give the dish a crispy and tasty gratin.

You can prepare thePizza dough at home. Alternatively, you can also replace it with the puff pastry: the stuffed peppers in a crust will always be delicious.

storage

Crusted stuffed peppers are preserved in the refrigerator by One day maximum, locked in an airtight container. We recommend heating them in the microwave for a few seconds before serving.
