How to prepare sweet and sour red onions

Finely slice the onions 1 and keep them aside. Put the red wine, red vinegar, sugar in a saucepan 2 and bring to a boil. As soon as the water boils, add the onions 3 and put out the fire.

Cover with the lid 4 and let it cool: it will take 2-3 hours. After the necessary time, put the onions in a sterilized glass container 5 with the cooking liquid 6 and close tightly with the lid.

Let’s now prepare a crouton to taste the sweet and sour onions: cut the bread into slices and toast the pan 7. Clean the shrimp 8 and sear them in a pan for a few minutes 9.
