Domestic travel is back. It’s just a matter of time until international routes that were out of service during the pandemic start running again. Even with fewer flight tickets to use this summer, it’s never too late to visit your friends abroad. There has been an unanticipated drop in the use of Asia-Pacific as a result of its setbacks.

The planes we fly on used to focus primarily on bringing us to work and back, which meant that a lot of flights directed people to leisure destinations in the United States. That level of service still exists and is always available, but it’s now more prevalent at widebody jet destinations such as Cancun. The distinction between what we used to think of as widebody jets and regional jets is becoming blurred.

The distinction between what I call to travel and leisure is still present, but it’s not as prevalent as when we just had one set of destinations. The airlines are trying to provide the same level of service, but they’re doing so by expanding the types of popular destinations that they offer.

JetBlue flies fewer markets than United might, but they do fly to more offshore locations like Cancun, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic.”I’ve always used a travel agent when booking my flights. Is it time for me to start looking for fares online?”It’s still too early to know what will happen in the long term. Travel agents have been around for decades and they’re currently still in high demand.”

Ever since travel patterns have changed, the world’s busiest airports have changed out of necessity to recruit new arrivals and prevent overcrowding. The eighth busiest in 2021 were all in the U.S., making it hard to compete with that on-hustle culture. So how is the U.S. doing?

The world’s fastest-growing airport is in Denver, Colo., while the fastest-shrinking is in New York City, according to a study by Airports Council International-North America. The world’s busiest airport, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, is still the busiest airport in history but has a long way to go to catch up.

When airline passengers choose an airport and the city they want to travel to, what does it mean for other airports? For example, it could mean a fall in business for London Heathrow airport. However, if this falls then it will actually be positive for other airports. All three airports in Tokyo, Dubai, and Paris officially reopened for business on Monday after a nearly two-week closure. Amsterdam’s airport remains closed but it will likely reopen sooner than the other two soon.
