The salty briquette is a quick starter to prepare and with a unique taste. Made with crackers, cheese and ricotta, it is ideal to bring to the table as a starter or as an aperitif. It comes together in minutes and requires no cooking.

Here’s how to do it even if you don’t have much time to cook.

How to prepare the salata briquette

Mix cream cheese with ricotta, parmesan, pepper and salt. 1

Divide the cream in two and mix one part with the turmeric. You get a yellow compound. 2

Arrange the first layer of crackers on the cutting board and spread the white cream. Smooth out well with the spatula. 3

Add the second layer of crackers and spread the yellow cream.4

Cover with the last layer of crackers. Cut them into squares and serve. 5

Tips

If you prefer a different consistency, you can let the brick rest in the refrigerator for a quarter of an hour before serving.

Store the brick in the refrigerator and consume it within 3 days of preparation, to prevent the ricotta from spoiling.
