Casa Polanco is opening in Mexico City’s Polanco neighborhood in 2022

With Casa Polanco opening as the city’s most coveted luxury villa, it is also poised to become one of Mexico City’s most luxurious and design-forward properties. The independent concept offers spacious suites, a personal concierge service, and the luxurious feeling of living in a friend’s home.

The property was originally built in the 1940s as a private residence but underwent a four-year restoration to bring some architectural features back to their original splendor. Renowned architect Claudio Gantuz took on the restoration of the historic structure, adding a beautifully modern and sober building next door that blends seamlessly with the mansion through a wood and glass corridor.

The estate offers 19 luxury accommodations with contemporary themes, providing a central location in the city. These suites each have their own unique style and furnishings. They are also full of exquisitely designed pieces from Rodrigo Garagarza and Raul de la Cerda. Delicate imported woven fabrics in 3 color palettes create a visual thread that unifies the property.

This contemporary building includes 12 suites and an oversized terrace and a double rooftop spa cabin, while the original neocolonial estate holds the interior veranda with a double-height glass ceiling, the library and honor bar, a gym, and 7 suites. Breakfast & Teatime is served on the Veranda; Dinner is enjoyed at Mexico City’s 5-star restaurants with Casa Polanco’s catering services and room service.

When planning the interior design for their passion project, Interior Colors & Earthen Design, Monica Romo and Monica Novelo wanted to avoid clichés and celebrate contemporary Mexico. They also wanted to highlight Mexico’s artisanship by featuring Mexican-made furnishings including artwork and fabrics. Aisles in Mexico City’s antique shops & bazaars have been set up to sell a variety of colorful, vintage furniture from the 40s & 50s. To add some flair, several pieces feature artwork and objêts d’art.

Casa Polanco is located in an amazing area of Mexico City and provides guests with a blend of luxury and culture. All of the services necessary for a weekend trip are available to our guests including private apartments, beauty treatments, culinary delights, etc.

Hamak Hotels and Design Hotels International are opening Casa Polanco next summer. It will start with rates at $530 USD per night and include breakfast, merienda, a comped minibar, Nespresso pods, and a tea kit.
