The ketchup sauce it’s one of the most popular and popular condiments to accompany fries, burgers and more. Chef Michele Ghedini prepared one for us homemade version of ketchup really fast who will conquer all. In no time you will be making this incomparable sauce sweet and sour taste using only water, vinegar, brown sugar and tomato paste to which we have also added cloves and star anise, to make the sauce more aromatic: you can omit the spices if you don’t don’t prefer them.

Here are the steps to make it really easy at home.

How to make ketchup at home

Pour the water, vinegar, brown sugar, salt and spices into a saucepan.

Let everything melt well over low heat.

Add the tomato paste and mix well.

Cook for at least ten minutes over low heat or until it reaches the desired density.

Strain the mixture, let it cool and transfer it to a container.

And your homemade ketchup is ready.

You can store ketchup in the fridge for 2-3 days in an airtight glass jar.
