The pasta with pea sauce it’s a cousin very appetizing, easy and quick to make. A perfect dish to serve lunch Sunday with the family, or for one dinner between friends organized without too much notice, which will allow you to make a great impression at the table with a few simple ingredients. To prepare it, simply sauté the peas in a pan with sautéed onions, then add them to an express sauce based on tomato puree and extra virgin olive oil, and then use the sauce obtained to flavor the striped celery, boiled al dente.

You will thus obtain a simple and tasty dish, to be enriched with chopped basil leaves and enjoyed immediately, piping hot. In this recipe, the legumes, impregnated with the tomato sauce, will give the preparation a slightly creamy and non-slip final consistency. If available, we suggest using peas. coolotherwise you can replace them with those frozen meals or pre-cooked in a box: in the latter case, our advice is to flavor them for a few moments, to prevent them from flaking excessively during cooking.

If you want to take advantage of time, you can cook sauce with peas in advance, even the night before, while those who don’t like tomatoes can try the white version. For a richer flavor it can be combined on fire crispy baconstrips of speck or diced cooked ham or, instead of grated celery, you can choose any other form of pasta you have in the pantry: spaghetti, linguine, trenette, rigatoni, mezze maniche, tagliatelle, fettuccine…

How to make pasta with pea sauce

Chop 1/2 onion with a knife and let dry in a non-stick pan with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil 1.
