How to prepare flowers stuffed with hazelnut cream

Melt the sugar and dry brewer’s yeast in 100 ml of lukewarm milk. Add egg, vegetable oil, flour, salt and stir to combine all ingredients. 1

When the dough begins to form, knead with your hands. Add the butter and continue to knead until you obtain a smooth and compact dough. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let rise for 20 minutes. 2

Time has passed, roll out the dough using a rolling pin and make flowers using a flower-shaped mold. Place each flower on a square of parchment paper and transfer them to the baking sheet. Cover them with a towel and let them rise for 30 minutes. 3

Fry the flowers in hot oil until golden brown. 4

Stuff the pancakes with the hazelnut cream and decorate with icing sugar. 5

Advice

If you don’t prefer hazelnut cream, you can garnish the fried flowers with custard.

storage

Store leftover fried flowers in an airtight container and consume within 3 days of preparation.
