Glass biscuits: the recipe for simple but effective sweets


THE glass biscuits they are simple to prepare but effective desserts, ideal to serve for a party snack tasty. To make them, just prepare the shortcrust pastry and then cut out the biscuits with the molds you prefer: with a smaller mold we will create the internal space, in which to add the crumbled candy. The biscuits will then be baked in the oven for a quarter of an hour: at the end of the preparation you will get theglass effect, thanks to the sweets that will melt during cooking. Let the biscuits cool thoroughly before enjoying them. Here’s how to prepare them.

How to make glass biscuits

Combine the soft butter with the sugar, egg and salt.

Then gradually add the flour until it forms a nice compact dough.

Let it rest in the fridge for at least 20 minutes.

Roll out the pastry and shape your biscuits.

With a smaller mold create a space inside.

Meanwhile, break up some hard candy and use the pieces to fill the space of your biscuits.

Bake for 15 minutes at 180°C.

If you prefer, decorate with a little icing sugar.


You can store glass biscuits for up to 1 week in a tin.
