Walnut cake: the recipe for a soft dessert with a crunchy note


There nut pie it is a soft and tasty dessert, perfect to enjoy at breakfast oh snack, during an autumn afternoon. To make it we prepared the dough with eggs, sugar, flour, milk, yogurt, chopped nuts, olive oil and baking powder. We then arranged some walnut kernels on the bottom of the mold, before pouring the mixture and baking the cake in the oven for 40 minutes. The final result is a cake with a soft consistency, but slightly crunchy due to the presence of walnuts: here’s how to prepare it.

How to prepare walnut cake

Beat the eggs with the sugar.

When the latter has melted, add the milk, olive oil, yogurt, vanilla extract and chopped walnuts.

Stir to incorporate the ingredients.

Sift the flour, baking powder and mix well into a smooth and creamy mixture.

Butter the circular mold, arrange the shelled walnuts and pour the mixture.

Bake in the oven at 180°C for 40 minutes.


You can store the walnut cake under a glass bell jar: it will remain soft for up to 3-4 days.
