Bread dumplings with tomato sauce: the recipe for the first anti-waste
THE Bread gnocchi This is a twist on the classic recipe, great to use when you have hard bread at home that would otherwise have to be thrown away.
The recipe that we offer you sees a simple tomato sauce as a vinaigrette, but you can also decide to dress them in another way, as you would with Potato gnocchi or with the pumpkin gnocchi.

How to prepare bread gnocchi with tomato sauce
Crumble the stale bread with your hands and put it in a bowl. Pour in the milk and start kneading with your hands to soften the bread. Add the egg, parmesan and salt and knead to combine the ingredients.
Add salt, flour little by little and you get a smooth and compact dough.
Roll the dough lengthwise and cut into pieces. Make a ball with each piece.
Boil the water in the saucepan and cook the gnocchi until they rise to the surface.
Pour the olive oil into the pan and sauté the minced garlic. Add the tomato puree and allow to thicken. Make perfume by adding basil.
Add the bread dumplings and mix well.
Serve the gnocchi with the sauce, fixing with the parmesan.
Advice
If you are not a fan of a simple sauce, made only with tomato puree, you can add minced meat and prepare a meat sauce.
storage
Bread dumplings can be frozen, if without seasoning and not yet cooked. Or, they can be stored in a airtight container already seasoned and cookedbut in this case, they must be eaten the next day.
