Donut semifreddo with tiramisu: the simple and delicious dessert recipe

The perfect tiramisu donut it’s a dessert spoon truly gourmet, inspired by the most popular Italian dessert, ideal to be served as a treat dessert at the end of the meal: a garnish of mascarpone cream wrapped in plush ladyfingers dipped in coffee. The realization is very simple, just place the ladyfingers soaked in coffee in a donut mold and leave to cool in the freezer. It will then be necessary to pour the cream made with it on the base mascarpone, fresh or pasteurized yolks, sugar e whipped cream. The dessert must then rest in the freezer or refrigerator for at least an hour: if you keep it in the freezer you will obtain a semifreddo while keeping it in the refrigerator you will obtain a cold cake with a softer filling. At the end of preparation, the donut will be sprinkled with Cocoa powder without sugarready to slice and serve.

For the preparation you prefer springform panthus the cake will be easier to extract.


Fresh or pasteurized yolks

How to prepare the semifreddo tiramisu donut

Dip ladyfingers in coffee 1.

Arrange them in the donut mold 24 cm in diameter 2 and leave in the freezer for 30 minutes.

In a bowl, beat the egg yolks with the sugar 3.

Add the mascarpone 4 and keep stirring.

Pour in the whipped cream and mix with an electric whisk until creamy 5.

Spread the cream in the donut and cover with another layer of biscuits 6. Put in the fridge or freezer for 1 hour

Then remove the donut from the mold and invert it onto the baking sheet. Sprinkle with cocoa powder seven.


You can keep the tiramisu semifreddo donut in fridge by 2-3 days oppure in freezer by 5-6 days. If you keep it in the freezer, remember to put the donut in the fridge for a while before serving it, so the cream will be softer.
