There double-baked cake with jam and walnuts it is a dessert with an unmistakable taste and perfect for those with little experience in the kitchen and little time to improvise as a chef: it can be prepared in a few minutes and cooked in half an hour. The soft dough is cooked in two different moments: first, part of it is poured and the strawberry jam is spread over it, then what remains of the batter is poured and the cooking is completed. Before serving, spread another layer of jam and add the chopped walnuts.

How to prepare the double-cooked cake with jam and walnuts

Beat the eggs with the sugar and vanilla sugar.

Add the milk, vegetable oil, flour and baking powder and mix to prepare the batter.

Pour half the batter into the circular mold and bake at 180°C for 15 minutes.

Pour the remaining batter and cook for another 15 minutes.

Brush the strawberry jam on the cake and sprinkle the chopped walnuts.

Advice

If you want, you can replace the strawberry jam with another one you like.

storage

If leftover, place it under a glass bell jar: it will remain soft for about 3-4 days.
