The feta pasta and cherry tomatoes it’s a cousin tasty and colorful, perfect to take to the table for a lunch express or for one dinner with unexpected guests. It is a dish with typically Mediterranean aromas in which feta stands out, the famous Greek cheese made with sheep’s and goat’s milk, cooked here in the oven together with datterini tomatoes.

To bring it to the table, all you have to do is arrange the feta cheese in the center of a baking dish, add the yellow and red cherry tomatoes, a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, a pinch oforigin and some leaves basiland we bake everything at 180 °C for half an hour. Once the time has elapsed, all that remains is to boil the fusilli in slightly salted boiling water, drain them al dente and pour them directly into the pan with the rest of the ingredients. The result will be a surprising dish with a slightly creamy consistency, to be enjoyed preferably piping hot and enriched, to give it an extra touch, with Taggiasca olives and more chopped fresh basil.

In this recipe, the flavor of the cheese combines perfectly with the sweetness of the cherry tomatoes, for a very interesting contrast of flavors. If you prefer, for one variant purely summeryou can pass the fusilli under running water, mix them with the sauce and then transfer them to the fridge for at least a couple of hours: you will thus obtain a very appetizing pasta salad, to put on the schiscetta and take to the office for a break full of flavour.

Rather rifle you can opt for caserecce, tortiglioni, spaghetti, linguine or any other pasta format, short or long, to your liking. If you wish, you can also abound in the quantities and store some baked feta cheese with cherry tomatoes in the fridge: you can serve them the next day on hot croutons, both as a starter and as an aperitif.

How to prepare pasta with feta cheese and cherry tomatoes

Rinse the cherry tomatoes, pour them into a baking dish, and place the feta in the center. 1.
