Madeleine with Chocolate Chips: The Variant Recipe for French Sweets


Chocolate chip muffins are a variation on typical French sweets. The classic recipe calls for a simple dough, without filling, while the version we propose enriches it with drops of chocolate that those with a sweet tooth will surely appreciate.

Once the dough is prepared, let it rest for three hours before shaping it into the sweets and putting them in the oven: that way they will be really soft.

How to make chocolate chip muffins

Beat the eggs with the sugar.

Add flour and baking powder and mix.

Also add the butter, milk, almond aroma and lemon zest.

Cover with plastic wrap and chill for 3 hours.

Grease the muffin tins with butter and pour half of the mixture into half of the tins.

In the remaining batter add the chocolate chips and pour into the remaining half of the molds.

We put in the oven at 220°C for 4 minutes and then lower to 180°C for another 6 minutes.

Then remove the cupcakes from the molds and let them cool.


If you don’t want to use too much butter, you can substitute it withhodgepodgeat least when it comes to greasing the pan.


Store sweets in a hermetically sealed containerbut remember to consume them no later than a week after preparation.
