THE puff pastry parcels and apple ladyfingers they are quick and truly delicious sweets, ideal for snack or to serve as dessert at the end of the meal. To make them we cooked the apples in the pan with sugar and lemon juice, before using them as a filling for the rectangles puff pastryalso enriched with i savoiardi biscuits and the jam; the parcels will then be brushed with beaten egg and cooked in the oven for less than half an hour. Here’s how to prepare them in a few steps.

How to prepare puff pastry parcels with apples and jam

Preheat the oven to 190°C.

Thinly slice the apples and cook them in a pan with the sugar and lemon juice for 5 minutes. Then let them cool.

Cut the puff pastry into 10x15cm rectangles.

Place two ladyfingers on each rectangle, brush the beaten egg around the biscuits and pour in the apricot jam.

Arrange the apple slices on the jam in order as shown in the video.

Fold the pastry from the two long sides and join the corners.

Then fold the edges of the short side downwards to obtain the parcels.

Transfer them to the baking tray and brush with the beaten egg. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes.

Sprinkle icing sugar over the parcels before serving.

You can save the puff pastry and apple ladyfingers parcels for 1-2 days under a glass bell.
