Sweet sandwiches: the recipe for sweets as soft as a cloud
THE sweet sandwiches they are delicious and soft as a cloud, ideal for a tasty treat snack or to serve as exquisite dessert at the end of the meal: the shape is inspired by that of classic savory sandwiches. To make them we prepared the base with egg yolks, flour, milk, olive oil and egg whites whipped with sugar and lemon juice. The mixture will then be poured into one square mold and cooked for about half an hour, before being cut into squares and stuffed with butter cream and passed in milk powderready to taste.
How to prepare sweet sandwiches
Whip the egg whites until stiff with the sugar and lemon juice.
In another bowl, mix the olive oil, milk, vanilla extract, flour, egg yolks and egg whites.
Mix well to combine all the ingredients into a nice creamy mixture.
Butter the square mold and pour the mixture. Cook in a static oven at 150°C for 30 minutes.
Cut the cake into two halves. Pour and spread the butter cream between the two slices and cut the entire cake into squares.
Cover each slice with cream and then dip it in powdered milk.
You can store sweet sandwiches in the refrigerator for 2 days under a glass bell jar or in any case well covered.
