How to prepare baked onion flowers

Remove the ends of the red onions and make 5 cuts, not reaching the bottom end. Repeat the operation with the other onions.

Put them in a bowl, pour the olive oil, the balsamic vinegar and let them rest for 10 minutes.

Transfer the onions to the roasting pan, pour in a little more of the oil mixture, and season with the salt.

Cover with aluminum foil and cook at 200°C for 30 minutes, remove the aluminum foil and cook for another 10 minutes.

Gently split the onion leaves and serve as flowers.

Advice

If you prefer, you can add spices before serving. We recommend oregano, but you can choose the one you prefer.

storage

If you have leftovers, store the baked onion blossoms in the refrigerator. Remember to consume them in a couple of days.
