He baked meat skewers I am a second tasty and easy to prepare, ideal for a lunch or dinner with friends. The secret to obtaining soft and tasty skewers is to let them marinate in an emulsion of oil, lemon juice, salt, pepper and chopped aromatic herbs: in this way they will remain juicy and golden at just the right point.

The preparation in the oven is also even simplerand in front of the one that is made on the grill or in the pan because it is not necessary to turn the skewers to complete the cooking in the best possible way. In addition, it will allow you to make a light and low-fat dish, especially if you combine it with seasonal vegetables.

In our recipe we use manzo, chicken my pig, alternating with pieces of pepper, to make them tastier and more colourful. If you feel like it, you can prepare them only with meat or add other vegetables, such as zucchini, aubergines, cherry tomatoes or onions.

How to prepare skewers in the oven

To prepare the baked kebabs, start by dicing the beef and pork, sausage, and chicken breast. Then, transfer them to a large container to marinate. 1.

Season the meat with lemon juice. 2salt, pepper and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.

Stir and cover with transparent film 3leaving to macerate in the fridge for 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, wash and dry the peppers, then cut them into squares. 4.

Compose the skewers by alternating the meat with the red and yellow peppers: in the center put the chicken breast, which requires less cooking, and then the beef and pork. 5.

Place the skewers on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. 6.

Sprinkle them with the marinade to which you have added chopped herbs and spices to taste. 7. Bake the skewers in the oven, in static mode, at 180°C for about 20 minutes, or in any case until golden brown: lightly score the meat with a knife to check that it is also cooked in the central part. Be careful to set the right temperature to prevent the skewers from burning.

Once ready, place the skewers on a plate and serve very hot. 8accompanying them with a fresh salad or tasty baked potatoes.

Advice

For the preparation of the skewers in the oven, we advise you not to choose cuts too skinnyto prevent them from getting too dry and dry after cooking.

If you use mixed meats, remember to put in the center the one that requires less cooking time. TO correct order it can be as follows: beef in the center, then chicken or turkey, then beef, lamb and pork, leaving the sausages for the ends of the skewer. The pieces placed in the center will thus be softer and protected from the humidity of the nearby meats.
