Fajitas: the recipe for a tasty Tex-Mex dish

The fajitas it is a tasty and succulent dish, typical of tex-mex cuisine. It’s about morbid tortillas corn stuffed with a filling of meat, peppers and onions. Once rolled up, accompany them with cheese, sour cream or other sauces of your choice, and serve them hot on the occasion of a dinner with friends or a quick family meal. Quick and easy, just cut the beef and chicken into strips, marinate them in beer and then pan-fry them with the vegetables and spices.

To make the preparation faster, you can buy tortillas ready yet or prepare them at home with our recipe. You can decide to use only the chicken meat or even add the pork, for an even more gourmet end result. You can add your favorite vegetables, such as zucchini and carrots for example, spices of your taste or other aromatic herbs. For the marinade, you can choose a light or dark beer or, alternatively, replace it with del White wine.

If you don’t like the tangy taste of coriander, you can choose to use del parsley fresh and garnish your fajitas with spicy sauces, cheese or the classic guacamole.

How to make fajitas

Cut the beef and chicken into strips 1.

Collect them in two different containers and pour the beer into them 2.

Season the two meats with a drizzle of oil 3.

Sprinkle with chopped coriander and squeeze the juice of a lime 4.

Mix well with a spoon then cover with cling film 5. Marinate the meat in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.

Wash the peppers, clean them and cut them into strips 6.

Peel the onions and chop them finely seven.

Combine the peppers and onions in a non-stick pan and add a drizzle of oil 8. Sauté for a few minutes over medium heat, seasoning with salt.

As soon as the vegetables are tender, drain the meat from the marinade and add it to the pan 9.

Cook everything for about ten minutes, then add the remaining lime juice and season with salt and pepper. Flavor with a pinch of cumin, pour the worchestershire sauce and continue cooking for another 5 minutes, stirring to flavor the meat ten.

Arrange the tortillas on a cutting board and cover with meat and vegetables, then gently roll them up 11.

storage

Once stuffed, fajitas should be eaten immediately. You can keep the filling in the refrigerator, in a suitable airtight container, for a maximum of 2 days. Freezing is not recommended.
