Rolled cookies: the recipe for simple and delicious filled cookies

I rolled cookies they are delicious filled shortbread cookies usually with the jam but that you can also stuff with melted chocolate, as in our recipe. Perfect treats for breakfastthe to taste give a snack after dinner for a gourmet moment. To make them we prepared the dough with flour, vanilla sugar, baking powder, cold butter, egg and water. After resting in the refrigerator, the dough will then be rolled out, obtaining small rectangles to be filled with melted chocolate or jam, which will be rolled up and baked for about 20 minutes. Once cold, they will be ready to eat, crunchy and crumbly. Here are the steps to make them.

How to make rolled cookies

In a bowl, mix the flour, icing sugar, baking powder, cold butter 1 and knead with your fingers.

Add beaten egg, cold water 2 and continue kneading.

Knead until you get a compact ball 3. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Roll out the shortcrust pastry with a rolling pin 4.

Make rectangles with the dough 5 and divide the rectangle into several strips.

Pour a line of melted chocolate on the side of the band 6.

Roll up and divide each roll into 3 equal parts to get the cookies seven.

Transfer the biscuits to the baking sheet and bake them at 180°C for 20 minutes. Sprinkle the icing sugar 8.

The rolled biscuits are ready to be tasted 9.


You can store rolled cookies for 3-4 days inside a cookie tin or airtight container.
