Meatballs with orange: the recipe for the second fragrant dish
The orange meatballs I am a second dish simple and aromatic, perfect for lunch or dinner for the whole family. They prepare with ground turkey, bread soaked in a mixture of milk and mustard, eggs, parmesan and grated orange zest and breadcrumbs; once the meatballs have been formed, they are browned in a pan with a drizzle of oil and finally mixed with the Orange juice: the end result is soft and fragrant meatballs with a delicious creamy sauce. How to make orange meatballs
Mix the milk with the mustard and pour it over the wholemeal bread. Let soak.
Mix ground turkey with egg, bread, Parmesan, salt, orange zest and breadcrumbs.
Make meatballs and flour them.
Heat the oil in the pan and brown the meatballs. After 10 minutes, add the orange juice and cook until creamy.
Serve the meatballs with the orange cream.
You can substitute ground turkey with ground chicken, beef or pork, depending on availability
You can store orange meatballs in the refrigerator for 1-2 daysinside an airtight container.
