Tender sandwiches with jam: the recipe to follow for a delicious snack


Yo soft rolls with jam They are perfect to prepare for children’s snacks or to start the day with a homemade dessert. The preparation is not difficult to follow, you just have to be patient to let the dough rise and practice giving the bread a spiral shape.

The filling, in our recipe, is made with strawberry jam and apricot jam, but you can add plum jam or, if you like, hazelnut cream.

How to prepare soft sandwiches with jam

Combine hot water with warm milk, egg white, salt, melted butter, and dry brewer’s yeast and mix.

Add the sugar and little by little the flour.

Knead well and let rise for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Divide the dough into 8 balls and let them rise for 30 minutes.

Stretch the dough and divide it into 8 triangles.

Place the triangles on top of each other, fold them in half with a stick, wrap them around themselves and fold them in half.

Pour the jam in the center of the rolls and wet the dough with the yolk.

Bake at 190°C for 20 minutes.


If you have a hard time getting the shape, you can leave them smooth and simply pour the jam in the center.

Before serving, you can sprinkle with powdered sugar.


Place the sandwiches under a glass bell jar: they will remain soft for a couple of days.
